ABOUT THE OWNER
More than 20 years ago, the Faroe Islands became the second home of Mauritia.

Since then, she has been regarded as a pioneer in promoting a respectful fishing tourism on the isles and as a specialised contact person for interested media.

She is the landlady of Fensalir Lodges.
As your host at Lodges "Heimi í Stovu" and "Gimle“ she will always be at your service whenever you need information or any kind of support concerning regional fly fishing.

PERSONAL FACTS
Mauritia is married and has three children. She spends six months a year in Germany and six months on the Faroe Islands.

She is interested in Handel opera works, art history, in antiques, is an expert in antique textiles, and collects antique furniture.

Regarding the subject at hand: Fly fishing started out as a recreational activity and has become her major occupation today.

Mauritia published several articles about fly fishing (South Africa, Norway, Faroe Islands etc.). She is also the author of a paperback travel guide about sport fishing on the Faroe Islands (available on amazon.de, the digital version can be downloaded from iTunes).
As a competent partner, she regularly accompanies press and media during important documentaries about her field of expertise.

OWNER AND MANAGEMENT OF REINE DES CENTFEUILLES,
ROSSBACH, GERMANY 2000-2010

For 10 years, Mauritia headed the successful company "Reine des Centfeuilles". A leading studio for the reproduction of authentic-historical clothing on a royal level, based on the close cooperation with museums, (sometimes noble) antique textile collections and high-end designers worldwide.
The company included an international client base and a team of up to five couturiers.

Growing up in a parsonage with seven sisters and brothers, her childhood can only be described as a life in the midst of untouched nature, surrounded by the river and lake district of Middle Franconia.

The "hunting gene" most certainly stems from her great-grandfather, a professional hunter in the service of the Silesian nobility.
